Hopefully you didn't lend him a great deal of money....because...well, if you did, lesson learned..

When it comes to lending, always lend something you can live without, because if you don't get it back, you'll still be okay, but if you do get it back, you'll be more than okay.

I'm sorry if he has ran away with it, that's pretty shitty if he did. But try not to accuse him unless he actually did it. Try to think positive right now. :*

That depends on how much money you gave him. If it's a few dollars, well that's no problem. If it's close to a hundred or more...that's kinda a lot to be trusting to someone.
