I try to plan life to avoid predictable traffic bottlenecks (peak rush hour, Bucs games, things like that). Where I get caught in heavy traffic, I like to put on some meditative music (classical, usually) and try to keep my eyes away from the traffic itself unless necessary (depending how slow it is), look at clouds or trees or buildings - try to find beauty and serenity in those.
