Do we say did you have time to do this or have you had time to do this?

It would depend on the individual's manner of speech. For instance Route 66 is pronounced "Root" by some and "Rout" by others. Which is correct?

The first is past tense & implies the time to do it is over
The second is past-continuous tense & implies a 'yet', i.e. it is still feasible to do it.
