Can Satan deceive us through dreams and visions?

Nightmares could come from your own thoughts, from a bad day, problems, etc., but it is also highly probable that the nightmares are coming from Satan. Satan wants us to doubt God. He wants non-Christians to reject God personally, and to reject what God has said in the Bible.

Satan also wants Christians, those who believe and trust God, not to trust Him and to doubt what He promises or says in His Word. He wants to turn everyone against Christ. Satan's goal, is to have your soul; to keep him company in Hell. He knows that will hurt God more than anything in this world. Satan is out for your soul and to throw you in hell, not God. Jesus came to save us from hell, never to condemn us. We find this in John, chapter 3, verse 16 and 17. However, once you accept Jesus as your Savior, it is HE that KEEPS YOU....NOT you.

You have been bought by the blood of Jesus Christ and nothing can separate you from the love of God or snatch you from His hand. John 10 verse 28, "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand." That is a promise of God and he never breaks a promise. For we are saved by grace, and if grace depended on your cooperation, it would no longer be grace! That means it is Jesus that does the saving. We cannot save ourselves by good works or thoughts or keeping the Commandments, in themselves. We are saved by grace, not works, least any brag that they saved themselves. You do not have God's approval to work your way to heaven. It cannot be done. God the Father approved and appointed Jesus as our Savior, not man.

When a person accepts Jesus as their Savior, they are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who comes to them and lives within them, up to the day of redemption, when we meet Christ face to face. Ephesians 1:13.

If given the opportunity, you can be sure Satan will try to take advantage of every opportunity made available to him (1 Peter 5:8). Many people are oppressed by Satan in their minds, as others are in their bodies. Satan cannot read our minds, but he can tempt us with wrong thoughts.

Satan is a master at counterfeiting the Lord. One of his masterpieces of counterfeiting God, was in the dream or vision he gave to Eliphaz to instruct Job, concerning his trials. In the dream Satan posed as God; even though he knew the advice and false accusations, did not apply to Job. Satan is nothing but a liar and Deceiver. There is no truth in him. John 8:44 - "When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the Father of Lies. NOT your Heavenly Father."

Satan will try to make you believe his lies, but he can't make you listen. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, IF you command him to leave you, in the name of Jesus and by HIS authority, not yours. James 4:7

@TheKingOfTheWorld I didn't say you were from India. I asked if you were from India because I had heard that particular name for Satan, in Indian literature, I believe.

no, i doubt that, satan doesn't exist, only a loving god.
@ravenhill Satan is revealed all through God's Word. If there wasn't a devil, we wouldn't need to be saved. With all the evil we see in this whole world, it is evident that Satan is very much alive and well. There is God and there is Satan. There is heaven, and there is hell. Jesus did not go through all that pain and suffering on the cross for himself. He only did it so that through him we might have our sins forgiven and be fit for heaven.
@ravenhill God is still loving, even though evil exists. He doesn't cause evil. Nor did He create it. Evil was found in the heart of Satan, as he chose to sin against God. God didn't force him to do it.
