How will the establishment of a Mars colony affect horoscopes?
Mars has two moons, Phobos and Deimos, so people born on Mars would have two "moon signs". Also, the planet Mars would no longer be wandering through the "houses", but the planet Earth would be.
On the other hand, people on Mars would see the same constellations as people on Earth, since the two planets are so near each other as compared to the distances to the stars. But the two planets are usually at different positions around the sun at any given time, so the sun would be in one house for Mars folks and a different house for Earth folks simultaneously.
So a Martian horoscope might include the following:
"When you were born, the Sun was in Cancer and the Earth was in Scorpio. Your Phobos sign is Leo and your Deimos sign is Libra."
Who gets to decide what this means? Will there be committee of astrologers who write the new charts and interpretations? What principles would be used to do so?
