how do you get over any form of rejection

this has happened to me many times in the past, i try to get to know somebody online, always a girl, i'm honest and speak from the heart and i don't hear from the girl again, then i wonder what i did wrong? did i give off an air of desperation?

i do live alone, get lonely, live with a personality disorder so wonder if i gave off desperation signals and that put the girl off getting to know me? this happened recently on facebook with a woman i liked on my facebook friends.....her last message was a disinterested one sentence reply...and i felt rejected.

i'm a male aged 43 now, and rejection, how do you get over it? i always get devastated by it as i have never managed to find any relationships yet in life.

Understanding that not everyone click well with others.
I usually don't click with anyone.
Not to a deeper level.
So it's not your fault nor them it's just as it is

You need to get comfortable with yourself. Your own happiness isn't dependent on someone else, you are the only person you have to be happy with. I don't really worry about rejection because it is an unavoidable part of life. I know what I have to offer and if a woman, especially one online doesn't want to converse with me, that is okay. You have unique experiences and understanding of things in your world, just as everyone does. If others don't see value in that, it is their problem not yours.

This is a great reply. The fact is people are here for different reasons So you won’t always be what somebody is looking for.@Roadsterrider

Stop speaking from the heart till it's required... This is a job interview not a confessional, be entertaining and nice
@AbbySvenz Fat people get rejected all the time.

Just move on to the next one. Don’t look back, sometimes better things are ahead and it was a blessing in disguise.
I divorced him, took half of everything and now have the best guy in the whole world. hope he's happy too
@saragoodtimes that works
well online isnt the way to go. a lot of women online are just looking for attention, not the love of their life. its like most dating apps women are surrounded by men, all they need to do is pick and choose who they want to talk to. most of the time, youll get ghosted talking to people online. starting relationships is very complicated and hard now a days.

Just make sure you have enough reliable income in your life...and the rest is a distant second.

There's no real formula. Realize that this is an internet forum. It's the wild west. People will reveal themselves to you. They will be nasty because they can be. That says more about them than you.
