[SW PSA] - How to make SW's formating editing easier on android cellphones.

This public service announcement (PSA) I am making because I'm a bit annoyed with how the editing dialogue box is designed.
Every time I want any of this sites formatting options it's a pain. I must place the cursor where I need the format code. Then very carefully attempt to scroll up without changing the cursor
. Many times on long posts or replies this is darn right impossible. š
So what I have come up with is to used a little used Gboard feature on Androids to add some convenience to this site. Plus a few other added niceties.
This probably won't work on any desktop computers. Iphones I just don't know. It's possible if your iphones personal dictionary is connected to the keyboard app like on androids.
This is also assuming if you are using Gboard as your keyboard. Many other keyboards just don't have a personal dictionary which I find a bit annoying.
Why no personal dictionary on other keyboards? š¤·āāļø
I truly dislike google monitoring what I type though.š And yes they do monitor. That's how they do predictive typing by refreshing certain key phrases.
Anyway, I am using these short cuts even as I type. They do take some time to set up. Yet this is only a one time thing. I've tried to include certain frequently used combinations as well as one formatting option that is no longer available. That is the separation format option. Notice I have used four consecutive ones.
Note also that some of the keyboard shortcuts includes some fancy text! š
You can use what ever fancy text you wish. Say an old email style signature line. Or even use the shortcuts in another word processer.
The key to add these shortcuts to the Gboard keyboard is by selecting the gear like symbol āļø where the predicted text appears. You might have to first press on the arrow symbol on Gboard's upper left corner to see it.
I have attempted to use first letter mnemonics, yet this is not possible with some of the shortcuts. Gboard uses the long press keys as punctuation, which takes precedence over shortcuts.
So if any key press shortcut doesn't work for you, go ahead and create whatever shortcut works for you!
