Are you a strict parent?

Probably compared to some.
I expect my children to follow family rules, accept responsibility for their actions, pull their weight around the house and to communicate in a healthy way.

My ultimate goal is to send responsible, well adjusted adults out into the world. I feel babying them or doing everything for them would be a great disservice to us all.

Yes. I make my cat toe the line.

No. But my kid doesnt really require it much. We discuss things. Hes pretty honest, and when he does something ill advised, he comes to me and tells me. The only thing off limits is heartbreak. He was crying and i asked him why. He said I don't want to talk about it. I knew then that it had to be a girl. I asked if he wanted me to lay a beating on her. He said no, but at least I got a smile from him. A weak one, but he smiled. He'll be okay.
