What is a red flag for you?

A couple of mine are if the person shows up drinking Red Bull, or if they refer to themselves in the third person.
I’ve never actively thought about it...I don’t know, maybe if they assume things about me instantly. It’s more a general vibe than an actual thing.

Oh oh...if they talk about their fantastic/kind/wonderful/genius level/super wealthy whatever personality lifestyle experience within the first two minutes OR religion within the same time frame.

@Invocations when I drove taxi as a summer job, talking politics or religion with passengers was a no-no, especially if you wanted to avoid confrontations in the cab

Someone who needs to be reassured constantly
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@Summerbreeze45 Yes, that gets old fast, and tiresome.

animal haters is generally a red flag for me.
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@SW-User Agreed, and conversely someone who is kind and/or compassionate toward animals often get my vote ;)

Prior to the French Revolution and even today, red flags or banners were not associated with socialism, communism, or anarchism, but were seen as a symbol of defiance and battle.

@SW-User You...always approaching things from a different angle, a unique perspective, offering up both humour and an educational anecdote.
*sigh*

Sigh ? Lol thank ya ✌🏻 @NewKidInTown

People who ask no questions.

@EmilyEdith I have a friend (well not so much anymore) who would tend to dominate the conversation, groups were worse, but one on one as well. Very rarely did he ask how I was doing or what was going on in my life, and if he did, it quickly circled back to him. In a way I felt bad for him, and I sensed he was stressed or dealing with anxiety. It was not long after that he found a reason to distance himself from our group of friends. Sad.

@NewKidInTown You were a very patient friend.🌞
I hope that guy is doing okay.
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@EmilyEdith I Hope so too. Have reached out to him several times to no avail.

Secrecy, liars, someone who doesn’t make me a priority.
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
I’m in the learning stage on this one. I still want to believe there’s a legitimate reason.@NewKidInTown
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@Jeephikelove That’s the problem, you WANT to believe there’s a good reason, but often it’s because the other person is either selfish, stupid, or have already moved on in their mind.
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
Good point! @NewKidInTown
SW-User
😄
...
There are too many to list
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@SW-User How about one for now :)
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
Kneesocks deems this judgemental mindset an abomination
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@assemblingaknob Speaking of which, the abdominal snowman....what’s that all about? Is that the same as Bigfoot and/or Yeti and Sasquatch?
The latter can be amusing if it’s clear the person isn’t really taking him or herself that seriously. But Red Bull is gross. 🤢

A red flag for me are those who generalize about people based on their gender, race or ethnicity
NewKidInTown · 51-55, M
@bijouxbroussard Haha, yes and yes.
In a way I feel pity for someone with those preconceptions. They have been taught wrong or have grown up under in a fog, and because of that, are missing out on a wonderful part of this world.
