I do get comfort from my faith. Faith has brought me through darker periods in my life. I have experienced things that can't be explained by this world. Besides I like to play the odds, cover all the bases. As a Christian, if I follow my faith, I live a decent life, pray, be kind to others, etc., when I die if there is nothing, it won't matter, if I don't follow my faith and just live a hedonistic life, when I die, if I was wrong, then I will have lost everything. There is comfort for me in that by itself.

The day I fully recanted and became an Atheist was the day I felt complete freedom in my adult life.

Sometimes

Only when I've convinced myself that I'm about to die. Then, it's a comforting thought that I could put the moment in the hands of a powerful being.
Then it turns out I'll survive, and the moment is awkward.

Yes, when I’ve reached my lowest points I’ve needed God’s help to get back up.
