Do you think that death penalty is a good solution?

To kill or not to kill?
The death penalty does not stop people from committing terrible crimes.
It is also not a punishment, because punishment implies there is something to be learned.
Nobody learns anything when they are dead.
So the death penalty only exists to satisfy peoples lust for revenge, and therefore it has no place in the justice system.
Also I think being locked up for life is worse than being put to death, think about it.

I'm a psychology student, therefore one might think that I'd answer no. I'd say that they have a mental illness and they need help, etc.
Well, I've done enough studying to tell you that perpetrators of horrific crimes are very ill. They are ill beyond the point of help.
Psychology can maybe help them "pretend" to fit into society, but they will reoffend. Statistics prove that.
For that reason, I am for the death penalty in horrific crimes. We can't help them, they are only a burden on society. They need to be put down, like a suffering pet.

Yes for premeditated killings!

Yes! It is the only way of insuring that they hurt no one else.
Let's kill people to say killing people is wrong.
Murder to stop murder?

I'm mostly not in support of it, but i really wish it was available to this gang rapist guy we have locked up and will become eligible for parole in another 15 years or so.

Not until the state demonstrates it can assign it free from bias and error. And it has failed miserably in that regard.
@Shade70 Actually set people on fire. Now the drugs they use are supposed to be extremely painful but Republicans have fought to be able to use them.

No. Thou shalt not kill is pretty straight forward.

I disagree with the death penalty.
