What would you do if your college was shutting down

I earned some certificates at a degree level and a couple of diplomas but I'm not sure about them on my CV now because my old college/uni is shutting down and I wouldn't be able to use them as a reference. Not entirely sure what to do or even if my qualifications would count now 🤷. Any ideas?

Most of friends have taken the college diplomas or degrees off their CV should I follow suit?

Well, it maybe depends on whether the college used an awarding body? Or were the diplomas awarded by the college itself.. if they used an external awarding body/exam board then it really doesn't matter if they close down... It shouldn't really matter anyway as even if they close you HAVE the awards.. the certificates, (don't ever lose them!) are still things you studied and were awarded.. There will be records of the college and they will be able to tell that it closed in a certain year.. SO it won't matter.. you should be fine..

@Adaydreambeliever yeah the college is very good at cover ups. Apparently I wasn't even a student there for the first two years because my grades weren't always good 🤷. Most were told that the certificates wouldn't count now despite the amount of money paid for them.

They had an awardening body but it may Definitely be worth asking them

You went to the college, whether it is still in operation is irrelevant. Most of the schools I went to have since gone out of business. That's irrelevant. They were accredited while in operation and thus my grades, credits, and degrees with them are still in force.

I don't know. You might be better off asking the university or the examination board bthat issued your certificates

@Peppa I mean I don't use my qualifications despite the training etc. But it's good to put them on there etc I may follow suit really. It doesn't affect me too much because I run an online shop 🤷 but still worth knowing incase I ever have to change jobs
