Why do you love driving?

I was reading a post in and it amazed me how many people see driving as a chore that can be automated. So tell me why you love driving. It can be long or short, detailed or not. It can be about your specific car, or driving in general. What is the great thing about driving?

Certainly something of a chore when you need to do it for work.
In and out of cities is a nightmare at certain times of day.

But then there are other times. When you decide to just go !
Up at 3 in the morning and the road can be empty for miles.

I love driving coz I like the feeling of being in a car behind wheels listening to music following directions. I enjoy long drive around the beach area too.

I just enjoy it. I also like cars and the sound and smells. Grew up working on Mini's so maybe that influenced me.

It can be freeing but when you have to do it every day it’s more of a chore.

4 wheeling can be quite enjoyable. Traffic sucks though.
