Ladies has your mothers scold at you for sitting with your legs apart?

My late mom has. She would bug me to "sit like a lady" a lot and annoyed the hell outta me. If wearing a dress or a skirt yes we should but wearing pants that's a different story. Sitting with my legs cross is so uncomfortable to me (I have really big thighs which makes it harder). My mom would scold at me 99% for sitting with my legs apart and I'm wearing pants. I would complain, "You don't yell at my brothers to close their legs so why are you yelling at me for that?!"
My mom said, "I'm not talking about your brothers. I'm talking about YOU. You're a GIRL. Girls aren't suppose to sit with their legs apart and you need to sit like a lady! You better have your legs closed! Be a damn GIRL!"

We would butt heads about it and no matter what she always wins and gets the last word! Ugh!!!
