Why do some people want their thighs to touch ir get bigger?

I have a cousin who is also tall but she's thin. She hates her skinny body and she would cry when she dresses herself in a dress because she thinow she looks disgusting. She had thin legs and a thigh gap. I have really big thighs and they tough. I hate when my legs rub together. I've always wanted thin legs and a thigh gap. My cousin said, "Why the hell do you want thin legs?! I KILL for those big thighs!!! Thin isn't even in anymore and honestly a lot of girls and women nowadays wish they had bigger legs and curves. Dont lose anymore weight. You look really good and you have CURVES! You look better in clothes than I do and you fill out! I wanna fill out in clothes. I have a waste but my skinny legs make it worse! I want my thiggs to touch. It looka healthier and sexier on a woman. Not every girl wants to be thin you know. Thick is IN!"
She claimed to be 6ft with a small frame. She is 145lbs and trying to put on weight. I'm 5'10, larger framed (broad) 224lbs and I'm TRYING to lose weight. My thighs are HUGE. I'm not following up on society. Im unfit, out of shape and I'm getting bigger. I don't understand why most thin girls nowadays want bigger legs. It isnt always that fun. Sorry for ranting so much.
