Have you ever experienced the romeo/juliette type of love tragedy? I have...
And it makes me wonder if the highest forms of love between 2 people really do end in tragedy most of the time

no, fortunately
I'm not sure, honestly. Also, how is your high treating you? :)

The human mind is not built to experience euphoria long term. The higher you go, the more likely the return to earth will be violent

Sort of with an ex-gf that I reconnected with 20+ years after we last saw each other when I was in my mid-twenties working as an airline baggage handler for an airline at the San Francisco Int'l airport and she was an flight attendant and part time model living in L.A.

She flew a lot and the distance eventually got to me. So we broke things off. She married a pilot (typical lol) and moved away and we lost contact. I married and had 3 kids. I left the airlines and we moved from California to Washington State.

And then one day her profile popped up on Facebook. I sent a hello and soon I found out where she was and that she was now divorced while my marriage was falling apart.

We eventually met and caught up It was like we had gone back in time. Everything just clicked. We had so much in common that had happened in our lives during our time apart. It seemed that the things that didn't work for us when we dated weren't any longer concerns. We really fit together and were a better match for each other now more than ever. We both lit up in a way that neither of us had in a very long time.

But it was not to be for us again. She lived in Maryland and I in Washington State. She had a severely autistic son that required her assistance 24/7. I had kids that still needed me, my son in particular with a delayed learning disability. And I still needed to see if there was any way to salvage my marriage, which I did but things didn't work out and then I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. And so priorities changed. A romantic love seemed less important than giving all my love to my kids with everything I had.

Fate again worked against me not in my favor... It wasn't parents or anyone keeping me away from a love that was probably the 'one' love. She should have been my soul mate. But she seemed to slip through my fingers twice.

Life and love is cruel sometimes. However I wouldn't change any part of my life because I have 3 kids that I love more than life itself.

Wow that's an interesting story. Yeah it's weird how we are only supposed to just get a glimpse of our true love.

Honestly I never understood what the hell they were saying in that story with their gibberish. Even the people from the video game "Sims" make more sense!
