Why isn't life always fair?

I know it's wrong to snoop but I saw this guys check and he got a raise and I didn't. I didn't look at all but I hate it when guys get more raised then ladies. I told my employer at work that it isn't fair just because I'm a lady. He was like, "Didn't anybody tell you life isn't always fair? This is the working field. So get used to it. Life isn't mentioned to be all sugar-coated and happy." I obviously know that but I just don't think it's fair at all. I told him off. He said, "An employee with a bad attitude....not employed material, ESPECIALLY for a girl. One more peep out of you and you're fired!"
When is standing up for myself going to get me in trouble?
I work Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Thursdays and Friday's from 4pm to 7pm. And Sundays from 9-1pm.

Potentially also could be the age, unless the other guy is 16-17 too; and working less than you do. And with a worse job ethic than you.

Honestly I'd probably fire someone if they complained just because someone else got a raise and then told me off because of it; someone with that attitude really does not seem like someone I'd want working for me; especially when there are so many other people who would love to have the job.

I'll trade you got screwed by an employer stories ,
How about a vaccine that ended up killing Vets and crippling even more
They lost my shot records and made me take it again
(its funny a doctor joked with me that could happen of I kept complaining my knee hurt and they were finding nothing wrong )
So until 2013 they have denied anything was wrong with me

Now I have evidence there is ,,this has ruined my life that never was easy to start with

I may die of cancer before they verify its service connected

Your boss was right ,,except its not always a gender thing

Just life

Yeah there is no way she can prove it when all they have to say is ‘he’s a hard worker and you are not’ @rckt148

@Cannabro Actually with my disease I am still a very hard worker
I hung sheet rock 10 yrs after part of my spine was removed
washed 30 cars a day with same condition but now a spur in my shoulder and I have letters of recommendations from all of my employers ,,,well until I was the boss
Yea I think I can verify I can still go above and beyond
Get a new job if you don't like it. Bosses can do whatever they like pretty much.
Your not supposed to see others checks either
