How to not have to talk to your parents anymore? At least for half a year to not hear from them and to leave me the fk alone finally.
But to not be hurtful in the process. Maybe a little bit, but not too much.

If you don't want to wipe your parents for good then you should probably stay in contact. If they were good parents and you love them then you should stay in contact, just tell them you need space if they smoother you. If they don't respect it then avoid them for a bit every time they cross the line until they get it.

@SW-User I just feel like they're suffocating me and don't leave me alone to be independent. It happened my whole life while I was home, and as I left, they're still pushing their ideas on me. Especially when they're trying to give me things. Like that takes the whole independent thing away.

Same thing is happening with me...make them feel that you are not supposed to be taken for granted! Because most of the parents are thinking their children are just granted. They don't know children are gift!
