@supersnipe @Elinoria It is such a great album. I highly recommend the book:

"Kind Of Blue: The Making Of The Miles Davis Masterpiece" by Ashley Kahn.

@jackson55 I was in the room at the Consumer Electronics Show in Chicago in 1979 when the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Original Master Recording LP of "Dark Side of the Moon" was released.

@Byron8by7 Ausom recording. I also have a gold CD from MFSL of the same recording. If you are into Jazz at all, and if you can find a copy of Jazz at the pawn shop on LP, it's the best live recording I've ever heard. There are CD's around but the LP is better. It's on a Proprius label. Recorded in Sweden in 1976.

@jackson55 Altjhough the pressing quality of the MFSL "Dark Side" is superb - JVC Supervinyl - a good original British copy, EMI Harvest SHVL 804, actually sounds better, even though it may have slightly more surface noise. There are several Proprius LPs that sound superb. I have "Jazz at the Pawnshop." It is indeed excellent. One of my all time favorite LPs is Proprius 7770 - "Kor." It is classical choral music that is stunningly beautiful, in particular the track "Triptyque Marial," by Cesar Geoffray.

@bijouxbroussard Mark Knopfler is an English graduate who worked as a reporter. It shows in his facility with language and his ability to tell a story.
