Why would u ever allow darkness to enter ur life unless ur a masochist?

Life is tough enough isn’t it?

Life HAS darkness. However, people perceive and deal with darkness differently...we are allowed to do that...we are all unique that way.

It is. But we don't always get to choose our darkness. Sometimes it chooses us.
@PrivateHell I don’t agree! Why? It’s our mindset that brings good or bad things to pass...
@Shewolfiie69 my mindset had nothing to do with how I was raised. It has nothing to do with my health issues. Yes, I can put on a happy face (and often do) but it doesn't erase the scars, take away the pain or chase away the demons.
@PrivateHell Why do u allow yourself to suffer when u don’t have to? When I say mindset. I mean ATTITUDE! If u have a defeates way of being then ( SORRY!) ...it’s up to u to fix it! I’m not saying that ur playing the victim card but u are what u think u are... I hope u find balance and peace! Be there, done that!

Darkness helps me sleep
@Shewolfiie69 I’m assuming the light 💡 doesn’t blow in your house.

Eventually you have to change it
@BigbangFACTS I’m not sure if ur a comedian or a victim? Light and darkness is subjective isn’t it?
@Shewolfiie69 a bit ambiguous huh

If you are in a major depression, you'll often try anything to feel something. It's easier to hurt than to feel nothing at all. Often why you'll see such toxic relationships and wonder how the hell can they not see what that's doing to themselves. A masochist takes pleasure in the pain, which maybe they are, but for most people that isn't the case.
@madmax83 plz allow me to correct you? A masochist likes to feel pain! A sadistic person enjoys giving ppl pain. That’s first off. Now...I know all to well about depression! I’ve been tortured, beaten and sent to the hospital in my early life by a father ( a doctor) that was the meaning of a Sadist! Each one of us has a choice! Allow ur short comings to run ur life or be a hero in ur own story!

@Shewolfiie69 First off that's what I said,
A masochist takes pleasure in the pain.
Secondly I am not debating your personal experience with your demons, or what choices a person can or can't make. I am simply offering a perspective about why people let the darkness in.

Sometimes dwelling on my dark side makes the light side shine even brighter.

huh... "allow" darkness to enter.... you do not need to be a masochist.. sometimes darkness creeps in as a shadow then goes..BOO! Got you!
Echoing · 61-69, F
you sure do put a lot of stock in your ability to be a super wonder woman human. If your head says this... you will beat yourself up all the time. Cause crap happens and sometimes it is out of our control. @Shewolfiie69
@Echoing nah!!!
@Echoing Peace be with u...

It's easier to sleep with the lights off.
@SW-User Doesn’t it depend on the person in question allowing ( or not) the light to be off?
SW-User
@Shewolfiie69 Yeah, I allow the lights off and that is why. Has nothing to do with masochism.
