If only coming out of the closet was that easy

You're going to want to build up a personal support network who accepts you for who you are before revealing it if you have concerns. Otherwise you might find yourself cut adrift and profoundly alone, which is never a good thing. 🤷‍♀️

It's a shitty situation to be in. I'm quite straight but have had friends that got ostracized from their families because they were gay.

@UndeadPrivateer Well, I’m gay and transgender so...,any advice for that?

I feel ya. My parents aren't even homophobic and I can't tell them I kinda like girls sometimes.

@Nutshell29 No, except if you do plan on coming out, don't do it until you know you're safe. I'm sorry that I can't help.

It’s okay, but thank you for being supportive @SW-User

End the convo with "OhandbythewayI'mgay/bi" right before leaving and closing the door.

First you find the door knob. Then you turn it. Say what needs to be said. Then only hang clothes in it.

I'd think nowadays it would be easier than it was in the past

Just open the door and walk out of it
