Why do my friends keep assisting me to date again?

Don't they understand that I like being single right now. I know I haven't dated in almost two years but so what? My best friend said, "You haven't been out on a date for almost two years so....that's why I want to invite you to a valentines day dance at my program. Just get out and have fun and maybe....meet a guy. A guy friend of mine thinks your beautiful and wants to get to know you. Before you say NO, please just give him a chance. I think you're afraid of a real relationship." I don't even know whdn they date is but I may not be able to go.
