Anyone great with math/physics/structural analysis here?
What happened between 17.19 and 17.20?? (attached picture) I know Euler's formula was applied but I can't seem to figure out how the hyperbolic sines and cosines changed to normal ones.
@rickfreeman15 Oh heck have they just messed up the printing? I've never seen sinh or cosh expressed with different formatting just for the 'h' element. And in that context yeah I'd expect to see hyperbolic functions???
I had that happen no end of times with my maths textbooks... they were really crap. I'd spend hours trying to figure out what I'd done wrong, only to realise it was actually the book.
@Pseudonym that was honestly the only thing keeping me from being sure it was a mistake. Why would they print 'h' differently?
And apart from that I noticed that the value outside the parentheses changed from e^-w*zeta*t to e^-w_d^zeta^t. Was trying to figure out how the angular velocity W changed to W_d (damping velocity) and seeing if a relationship with the sinh >> sin could be found but I got nothing.
Let me just assume those two are mistakes till I get something😅😅
