Would you buy a house on a busy road/street?

My husband and I almost did when were looking to relocate back in the spring of 2007. We backed out of it though because of concerns about noise and low resale value 🤷‍♀️.

Nope, if I had my preference I would buy a minimum of 500 acres and build my home on the most private part of it.
I live in such a place now, but it's an apartment. My vast preference is quiet serenity, but since I have no small children to worry over and take my dog on a leash or to my daughter's place to run in her fenced-in yard, I have adjusted and it's fine.

@Mamapolo2016 Nice. Our boys were only 3 at that time, so that was also a concern.
@SW-User Yes. Big one. My favorite place I lived we had six acres and were surrounded on three sides by a 900 acre Boy Scout Camp. That was perfect...but my ex-husband was there.
Well I would do all I could to avoid it if I wanted to move in to a house, but I house sit a really beautiful Victorian white house in a village the only problem is it sits on a really busy main road but other than that the house and garden are perfect. It even has fruit trees when in season so I try to ignore the main road.

No. My house is in the woods far from traffic and the few neighbors are summer residents
