The problem with the present is that if people who lived in an era that did not adhere to the way we see things then they were a bad person. The funny thing is most people saying these things probably at some point in their past did something that would be frowned upon today. So let’s hold everyone accountable for past decisions even if they have tried to apologize for them.

@AnneHoney That’s what I’m saying. People these days look at everyone and say oh they were racist or whatever. And as someone else said he was racist and sexist but almost 100% were at that time. But rather than realizing it was a product of a little backwards thinking they must’ve been a bad person. Churchill wasn’t a bad person. It’s not like he was going around systematically killing Jews for simply being Jews.
