Why do airlines treat people in premium economy and business class better then people in economy class

It’s simple economics. Business/first class tickets are 4X the price of economy and generate a significant portion of the airlines profit. Business class fliers are often loyalty program customers— the come back frequently so there is money in keeping them happy. Premium economy doesn’t offer much except some extra leg room. If the airlines could stack economy customers like cord wood, they would.

@Vgore0304 All I can really say is good luck. I haven't done one of those, but I definitely wouldn't do it in a regular coach seat.

@FaeLuna @vgore0304 Yes, good luck. I've done 16 hours and that was tough. An aisle seat helps so you can easily get up and stretch, stand in back for awhile, keep your blood flowing.
