What happens when you love someone?

This is not the easiest question to answer, I've changed a lot. In the past I've given them what I felt I can but once bitten, twice shy, so now I can't really say.

I don't even know... I guess I would get very protective of their well being and feelings. The thing that comes to mind is when we were younger, if anyone was mean to my sister, or if guys treated her badly, I wanted to destroy them.
