how much choice do we really have in life?

We can choose what people we want to allow in our hearts. We can choose who we want as our friends.

I believe as souls we pick our own life to help us learn the lessons we need to. So in a way we have total choice and in another way we have little choice. Should we learn lessons quickly, we have time to enjoy choice.
