Is it worth destroying someone’s beliefs even if u think ur right?

The one thing I’m coming to terms with is; be respectful even if u strongly disagree! Be the bigger person and find out why they feel the way they do! Why challenge them if it only brings animosity right? Or are we destined to stay in neutral due to our big egos?!!!

destroying false beliefs is called education
MikeMorgan · M
@TryingtoLava Just saying, people believe to much superstition and lies
@MikeMorgan science and math is its own language. If these ppl care about proper education, they will find this out in their own.

Nobody can destroy anothers beliefs unless they are not very strong in the first place, but people could disagree without cruelty
Wiseacre · F
Disagreeing does not mean destruction of their beliefs.

I would love to destroy racism :p

In all honesty, I am fine with somebody talking to me and helping me from being incorrect. Most people are just very soft and easily hurt when their lifestyle or ideas are attacked

I think "destroying someone's beliefs" is not the right way to go about it, because the one destroying could be at fault >_>
It should be about what's right

@SW-User if u disagree with me, my beliefs are the same!
@SW-User u cannot force ppl to change their minds on ur terms unless ur using a gun to their heads! Life is a series of experiences. Hopefully thru their own adventures, they may come around on their own!

@Wiseacre I don't know what you believe in but that's an interesting motto! :O

@Shewolfiie69 I know v.v
People need to learn to judge what they know. It's so astonishing how some people can live their entire lives judging others and "seeing the faults" in their beliefs while somehow believing that they themselves are not wrong :v
It's interesting

It's worth our working towards actually knowing- even if this upsets those already decided. Currently there are three general beliefs all geared to promoting various conflicting likelihoods. Something far better is being overlooked: a fourth belief of superior methodology.

Agreed! You don’t have to be rude and call somebody names because they believe differently than you… And if by discussing your beliefs with them destroys their beliefs, then they did not feel that strongly about them to begin with.
GoodoldBob · 61-69, M
If their beliefs are self destructive you are not doing them any favors by overlooking that fact. But if you are talking about religious dogma hair splitting then it makes no sense to make an issue of them.
There are some whose belief system incorporates paedophilia, the abuse of women and bestiality.
@EugenieLaBorgia of course! But ur going towards the lower life forms. I’m referring to everyday ppl in daily life.
@Shewolfiie69 For those whose beliefs are 'moderate' and do not involve wanton destruction of all that they sense, of course! Those 'lower life forms', though, can be quite pernicious!

I think it's not about destroying people's set of beliefs. It's about trying to bring them to the truth.

I agree that some people don't go about it the right way, and that some people are better off believing because otherwise they wouldn't be able to go on. But most people are actually able to build a new beliefs with no problem, even if it seems hard.

I would have never thought I'd leave Christianity 4 years ago, and now here I am :)

It's fine to voice your opinion, being respectful of others opinions and views. Never judge. 👍
You cant destroy it if its true
