Why do some peeps hide their gender?

If I showed I was a woman I would, eventually get slut shamed, or body shamed, by someone. And I would get the most disgusting PM's. come ons, pick up lines -and pics- from men. I would have no peace. In my 60's I do not need that. AS a woman I have enough issues to deal with.

If I cam on a 60 year old male I would be considered a pervert, a predator,(even though women are that more than men) a sexual deviant and I would be mass blocked my most in their settings. I would get the "I am not talking to a male who is old enough to be my father" shit. (Odd that men never say the same but about their Mother????)

If I came on as a transgendered person I would immediately face the wrath of religious zealouts and conservatives. Not to mention those that are bigoted, small minded, or who let others think for them. I would also be mass blocked my many who block those who are transgendered. My opinion would not really be welcome by women as I am not REALLY one of them - and males would be disgusted, as if I betrayed maledom --(same for transmen regarding women) I would be seen as a crossdresser and those that are trans are far from that.

So--it is no one's business. Neither is my age, which I just spoke of. I am not here to date or to pick up another. What sex, gender, and how I relate sexually is my own business. No one elses.

Because girls get harassed my guys.

Good guys get judged because of the bad guys.

I can certainly understand why some women would do so. Women seem to get enough unsolicited messages/photos from pervy guys as it is. They probably want to avoid (or at least minimize) that...
