Why do you try and help people?

Makes me feel better than being a dick all the time, although both feel good.

I'm not sure it's that I'm [i]trying[/i] to help, it's just that when someone has a problem or an issue they're struggling with, and I have some experience, insight or otherwise that may be of use to them, why wouldn't I share? It just seems to be the thing to do, no?

No one helped me when I needed help in the past. I know how that feels so I now try to be there for others so they will not have to go though it alone like I did.
