If we do not learn to love one another we will destroy ourselves

As a wise Æon Flux character once said, "Love isn't the answer, it's the problem."

Eh. I was really just throwing out a random old quote I enjoyed that sprang to mind, but if you want an actual discussion on the matter, here goes.

What, precisely, do you even mean by "love"? It is a word that can mean many things in English, some of which have almost no resemblances to each other at all.

Also, for a person who presumably has not seen the distant future, you seem quite certain that we will, in fact, destroy ourselves unless we all adopt your proposed remedial measures. What makes you so sure of this?

Lastly, even if all of this is the case, your statement comes off as all but pointless, as not only have you failed to make it clear what you mean by "love", but you have also failed to give any idea of what obstacles to "loving one another" remain to be overcome, or any realistic steps that might be taken to bring this preferable alternative to destruction about.

At a glance, it is really difficult to conclude that you are making an honest, thought-out suggestion about anything, as opposed to just throwing out some nice-sounding woes about the tragedy of human existence as an invitation to a sentimentality-circlejerk.
