Why does the world have to seem so fake at times?

You know? Like just fake....you build and you consider some people to be straight with you and just have your back...when you find that they're not, that they've submerged or assimilated themseleves into the world, into the everyday or the likeness of that is todays society in our generation: Desire, lust, not interested in the connections/relationships they have and or established, no remorse or sympathy, the somewhat cruelty...it just seems like as time changes the world can take people from you in a way...and of course I'm not simply blaming the world and time...but it just sucks when people get sucked in and it just feels like the world took them away. And I get it, no one stays the same forever, things happen and people change....but when you no longer see that person you knew in them and they treat you differently and just no longer care about anything you say...like the past never happened...it hurts...
