Can you tell me everything you know about buying a used car?

SW-User
You want to know: Age, mileage, previous accident history, maintenance history, was it ever flood damaged.

@life14 well dealerships are harder to get a good deal from them. They always mark the price up high. So be ready to negotiate by knowing what the car is really worth. Kelly bluebook KBB.com and those websites like it are a good place to find that out. Dealerships generally do offer some kind of a limited warranty if something happens that private sellers won't give you.

Noises.... If it sounds funny it probably is.... To explain, machines run on a certain timing... So if the car sounds like it's running at an off time its probably damaged or worn out
Take a certified mechanic with you, its worth the money..

How many kilometres it has been run ?

Don't buy from a "su trabajo es su credito" place. Those are lemons already passed over due to flooding etc. Anyway, take a mechanic. And don't let them jack you around on financing.

Less than five years old, less than 60,000 miles, maintenance record, safety check and preferably a mechanics check... clear title.. Half to 2/3 new price, depending...
Make sure it has a manual transmission, is a rear wheel drive or 4, the fuel pump is on the block, and it has a timing chain instead of a belt.
