No, but I know they are amazing with horses, they keep long forgotten skills alive, so they have their value.

I lived in a part of Missouri that had the largest Amish population in Missouri. Used to watch them ride into town every Saturday morning to do their trading. I'd hear the jingle-jangle of the hardware on the wagons and the clip-clopping of the horses before they passed by the house and I would run to the window to watch them....several wagons...never got old to me. Rarely see them in Oklahoma, there's an Amish community in southeastern Oklahoma.

I use to live in amongst them. Great people. Great food. Really down to Earth!

People of this kind aren't pragmatic. They keep their faith by keeping their faith mostly along the lines of close friends and fellow parishioners.

You might know a Mennonite or Quaker or Amish and not even be aware you're talking to one of the soldiers of the Lord.
