Thinking of getting an iPhone 6 to replace my IPod 5

I've legitimately ruined the battery of my IPod 5, it now has to be plugged in like 24/7....won't even last 30 mins, even if I charge it for a while. Plus I honestly need a new phone as well mine is glitchy and slow as hell...so it can be both my phone and my device of choice for YouTube/apps and shit. I've seen the price drop for iphone 6's go down significantly (I don't think from Apple but from other sellers yes...) due to the iPhone 8 & 10 being released...
