Lego has just introduced the Millennium Falcon with 5800 pieces for $800, but they figure most that buy it will leave it untouched in its packaging...

Isn't this wrong in so many ways?

I have a giant bin FULL of Legos. Screw that $800 price tag. Just give me the directions!

@GwydionFrost Would an 8 year old get the same enjoyment building it compared to normal lego making what they want though?
GwydionFrost · 56-60, M
@MikefromEP Not ONE 8 year old is getting the Millennium Falcon kit, I assure you. NOT A SINGLE ONE. ;)
MikefromEP · 51-55, M
@GwydionFrost I would bet on that as well

yes it is,,damn "collectors" like the old prospector in toy story.
stuff like this should be used,, not just stored
MikefromEP · 51-55, M
@Amylynne Exactly
JRVanguard · 26-30, M
For 5800 pieces, $800 is pretty cheap compared to standard costs. And they're right, they will be worth thousands in the future
MikefromEP · 51-55, M
@JRVanguard The original idea of LEGO has gone the way of the Dodo Bird. A kid played with it to be creative.. now you need an instruction booklet of 56 pages to TELL you what to do :(

so wrong putting together is the best part
MikefromEP · 51-55, M
@corally 2 pots of coffee and 3 hours later...
corally · 56-60, M
@MikefromEP well worth it
I heard it's over 7k pieces
MikefromEP · 51-55, M
@AcidBurn Either way... seems sad
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
I want it. So. Bad.
Yeah, I don't get that. No way I'd spend that kind of money on something I couldn't at least play with.
MikefromEP · 51-55, M
@bijouxbroussard You could build it and fly it around the room with your hand lol
