Can anyone explain what a non binding postal plebiscite is please?

As I see it we know where Labour stands on this issue but the libs are deliberately confusing the issue to appease the christian conservatives. They won't admit it but the lib power brokers know they are walking a very fine line between lose of their own power & loss of government. They don't have the courage or leadership to make a decision in parliament & live with the consequences. This could have been resolved long ago. It's 2017 & we still have these archaic, limiting beliefs about people freely expressing & being able to enjoy their sexuality. And the politicians have the audacity to claim they represent their constituents.

If you are Australian what is means is a waste of $125 million, to have a vote on the same sex marriage it should be put forward at the next federal election when we have to vote for The Liberals or Labor - this is not rocket science it is either YES OR NO
