Is there anything you consume that you feel you pay too much for?

I am mostly bald up top, except for a donut of hair around it. A few years ago I finally got sick of paying somebody $15 each time for only a few minutes of their time. All they had to do was run the clippers over the donut and shave my neck, and they were done. I should get a discount for having such little hair to cut!

So now I trim my hair myself with the same razor I shave with. I just pull up clumps from time to time and shave them to about the same length each time (about 2 inches?). I just try to make it look even. I do not care if it is perfect. It actually looks neater than it used to, because before I did it myself like this, I would let it grow long and get unruly before finally going to a hair cutting place. Now, however, I trim it about once every two weeks, just a little at a time, since that cuts down on defects. Or I trim something if I see it sticking out funny. The back of my head is hard to cut, though. Still, I just grab a clump by feel rather than sight, and trim to about the same length. I do it slowly and little at a time, to prevent large defects. Sometimes it looks uneven yet I do not care. Usually it is fine. I am old, fat, and ugly, so who is going to care how my hair looks? I am valued for my brain.

I should probably just buy my own clippers, though.

@JoyfulSilence I've thought of buying my own clippers before. It's just that I fear I might mess up the shape of the edges. The back is always a nightmare for me. I used my brothers clippers once to try and trim the back and I didn't notice that I had left 2 long horn-like spots of hair unshaved. But I suppose anything can be done better with practice.
