Does God stay in heaven, because he lives in fear of what he's created?

God is defined by never being perceived directly and only can be inferred by creation. So God stays in heaven because both God and heaven are created by humans to cope with existential fear of there being nothing more than Life. God is not scared of what he created. We are scared to be alone. Better disinterested God than a question we cannot answer.

That doesn't make sense. If god is real, why would he fear humans?

No hes a Spirit so chooses not go to earth but he chooses Jesus to come down to earth
