By no means all Christians disbelieve science or try to belittle scientists. I suppose from their point of view, science is revealing ever more of their God's work.

Unfortunately some on the fringe of the religion are so terrified of anyone shaking their Tree of Non-Knowledge, they resort to any mode of attack they can. It doesn't occur to these lost souls that all they do is demean themselves and God.
