I think it's hard for people to accept that ultimately, we are not in control, and it isn't likely that a benevolent god is either.

Most people want to hear what they are comfortable with. Without some stretching we do not grow. For some truth is warm and fuzzy, but I have never found that to be so. It is stark and pitiless. But it is useful.

Everyone's journey to growth of any kind spiritual or emotional is different it is important to be open and have less fixed ideas.
