It's just a poor imitation of the Pagan festival of Ostara - the Goddess of Spring. Some of the symbolism was taken from Odin's sacrifice on the Yggdrasil Tree.

@NortiusMaximus Jesus, God in the flesh was tortured to save us and to take the worlds sins on his own shoulders so you could live!
@Carazaa I know you believe that but it's total rubbish. There is no evidence to support that whatsoever.

@NortiusMaximus There is more and more evidence. I watched a very interesting documentary on Easter how scientists have discovered the shroud of Turin have certain burn marks from some kind of ultraviolet light energy so it was most likely Jesus shroud that he bore when he was dead and resurrected from.

Simply claiming there is evidence doesn't prove a thing. You need to actually present that evidence for us to see. You make a lot of extraordinary claims but you've never come up with the evidence to support them.

@NortiusMaximus I know God, The Holy Spirit changed me!
@Carazaa Just more unsupported claims. All they prove is your desperation.
