I'm not sure whether to cheer or cry [Spirituality & Religion]

There are Mennonite Churches in Canada that are defying government edicts. The sad part is the ones who are doing it are the ones who believe very strongly in nonresistance.

Non resistance is about not seeking to bring down the government..

But if a Christian is convinced that a government law / edict is compelling them to break Gods law then they have to disobey that edict.. Not by rioting and sparking a violent revolution but by simply refusing to do what the government has stipulated.. Even if it means they will lose their freedom and even their physical lives for doing so..

In U.S there was a church turn into a strip club just to stay open.

@FreestyleArt I heard about that one. There is another one in LA(?) that defied the governor. The government was trying to take away the building or at least the land it was sitting on. The Pastor there is also one who holds to strict adherence to obeying the government. Strange how the traditions of man really don't matter when push actually comes to shove.
