Do you believe in life after death? [Spirituality & Religion]

Will we see our loved ones again?
Oh, absolutely. The Lord didn’t leave us to guess. It’s all in His Word. Even how our future will play out.

@MissPriscillaPrim (For the record, the first deleted message was LadyGrace asking about my photo, and the second one was her assenting peaceably. I suppose she then looked at my profile, and deleted these two comments.)
@MissPriscillaPrim For the record...you have totally assumed wrong. In the first deleted message, I had looked at your profile as I could not make out the avatar, so then asked about it. Then you recommended we PART in peace (didn’t know we were at war) and that I don’t ask anymore questions and gave the reasons why. What was I supposed to think! You shut that door. Not me. I erased my attempt to be friends since that’s the way you wanted it.
MissPriscillaPrim · 70-79, T
@LadyGrace No, we weren't at war. Peace be with you. I didn't mean to shut the door on a friendly parting. I just acknowledged it would help neither of us to bring up the differences in our personalities.
Heaven is the place of perfect happiness—and one of its greatest joys will be our reunion with those who have gone there before us. God loves us, and He won’t withhold that joy from us.

How do we know this? We know it first of all from the Bible’s explicit teaching. When King David’s infant son was taken from him, David felt his loss very keenly—but he also knew he would see him again. David declared, “I will go to him” (2 Samuel 12:23). When Jesus was transfigured (or changed) before the eyes of some of His disciples and they glimpsed His heavenly glory, we’re told that Moses and Elijah appeared with Him—proof that we retain our individuality in heaven (see Luke 9:28-36).

We know it too because the Bible tells us we will be together in heaven. In other words, we won’t be separated from each other. At the end of time, “we who are still alive and are left, will be caught up together. … And so we will be with the Lord forever” (1 Thessalonians 4:17).

I believe but who knows in the end...

@SW-User Although I don't believe any of our religious stories are true-to-life, I admire faithful people who recognize the difference between faith and fact. Wish there were more of them.

This poem by Stephen Crane moved me deeply in my teens.

A man saw a ball of gold in the sky;
He climbed for it,
And eventually he achieved it --
It was clay.

Now this is the strange part:
When the man went to the earth
And looked again,
Lo, there was the ball of gold.
Now this is the strange part:
It was a ball of gold.
Aye, by the heavens, it was a ball of gold.

I do I do I do..I'm counting on that..I have to..this amazing self,we humans have, this genius of design of our body, our feelings, our mind, they cant just go to waste and ends at death..they must be more after that..this life is so unfair, justice must be served, and after life sounds the perfect one
windinhishair · 61-69, M
Yes, I do. I had a near-death experience twenty years ago and I absolutely believe in life after death now.

@windinhishair I'd like to believe that there is something after this. My mother had a near death experience too...she was on the USS Enterprise and sat beside Uhura...but she never once watched Startrek. I'm skeptical :>
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@Fernie The important thing to remember with near death experience is that the the subject isn't actually dead - just like Lt. Uhura (Nichelle Nichols).

I guess we'll find out eventually, good part is if it isnt true we wont be disappointed cause we'll be dead anyways

Well whether there is or isn't you win either way .. if you die and nothing happens ..you won't know nothing's happening so enjoy the sleep..
I do. There's a lot of compelling evidence the soul survives physical death.
Regularity · 26-30, M
Yea I guess I do , I’ve seen some things
SW-User
@Regularity Have you had a near death experience?
Regularity · 26-30, M

I’d love to be wrong, but I don’t believe there is.
SW-User
Yes to the first question. No to the second.
