Are priests all charlatans? [Spirituality & Religion]

Anyone can speak to God, churches are unnecessary to God and your worship is not needed.
In truth, God needs nothing and serves us always; in all ways.
God is love, and when you come from love you will know what God is.
While it is true that we do not have to go to church in order to talk to God, God's Word clearly states that we are not to forsake the gathering together of ourselves in church. We don't go for the people. We go for good reason... to be fed spiritually by God's Word speaking through the pastor.
@JovialPlutonian of course we speak to God ourselves . At home or wherever we go we can do that. I am just saying that Jesus is the head of the church, and tells us not to forsake ourselves from assembling together. He knows that that is where we get our spiritual food, amongst a plethora of other things like reading your Bible, and praying.

@LadyGrace well Jesus was heavily misunderstood.
@JovialPlutonian He's still heavily ignored today.
You are right on one thing. Jesus became the only mediator between God and man, when he died on the cross. That did away with the old law, where we needed priests to pray for us, on our behalf. Now, we have direct access to God, when we pray through his son, Jesus , who died for our sins . Jesus said we were born to serve the Lord. In honor of what he did for us on the cross, we are to bow down and worship Him, not the other way around.
I don´t believe in god so therefore I think priests are completely unnecessary.

I don't believe their religions but God is not their religion @Underconstruction

@LadyGrace and who told you that? The church
@JovialPlutonian No. God's Word, but then you will say you don't believe in God's Word, so that's where it stands.
As MadisonBilly said, one either believes or they don't. To each their own. No one is forcing anything. No matter what the subject, we each state our "beliefs" and should not be criticized by each other. That's a general statement. Not aimed at you.

@LadyGrace I do believe in god and there's no should or shouldn't, just what is. I just dislike the truth being abused, e.g.- god has given us all free will, yet you are commanded to not steal, etc. That would not be free will. Ten commitments yes, commandments no. That's one eg of the church adjusting the sacred scripture. Believe it or not there's was no such thing as churches before man, god never created them as there is no requirement of them for god but your church insists on its members attending or you'll be judged and put in purgatory. Another lie for your church to use to control its members. Even the belief that you can only have direct communication with god through a priest or Jesus is a lie. Yes I believe in god, just not Christianity's lies. I'm sorry but that's how I see your religion.

No, a lot of priests/clerics are genuine but there are too many fakes.
