What's the difference between being religious and being spiritual? [Spirituality & Religion]

I think I'm a mixture of both.
spiritual is a nebulous term for people who have no solid beliefs but want to sound cool.
@DuchessOfMapleSyrup lol! i never thought about that

Being both is fine. In fact it's the best option - and the only one actually consistent with the Bible.
Those who say they are "spiritual but not religious" usually mean they pick and choose what they believe (and not based on any rational reason, but because it suits them or makes them feel good). Of course... you a religion is a dead letter without spirit... but spirituality without religion has no real basis to develop truth from.

I think you can be both.
@SW-User is your profile picture a picture of your face with head phones on?

I think you could get many different ideas about that. For me, being Spiritual has nothing to do with worshipping invisible sky fairies, no deities. It's being connected to Nature and all living things. Respecting both. Celebrating both.Using, feeling the existing energy that is always through me and around me.

Religion is a tolerant organisation for just religion.

Spiritual, depends what you mean by spiritual
@SW-User spiritual can be nature, believing in fantasy like fairies, wishes, disney and star wars i think lol

(Organized) Religion has some sort of dogma or rules, while that is not necessary for spiritualism.
@okaybut yeah legalism is not good
