Texting Bible Scriptures [Spirituality & Religion]

So I have been receiving text with Bible scripture from someone my mother knows that goes to church on Saturday.I know her as well when I used to go to church but don't go anymore. The woman and I used to work at a job together a long time ago.Now if my memory serve me right when I worked with her I don't remember her sending me text with Bible scriptures and I am sitting her wondering why is she spamming my phone with Bible verses that I never ask for :/.I am ignoring her.Apart of me actually want to ask her if she can stop sending me text of Bible Scriptures I never asked for just that she is in her 60's and don't want to offend her.She is a good person and means well but blah where's the texts that says ,"Hey hope all is well. What you been up to!?Haven't heard from you in awhile.Hope to hear from you." Just constantly getting text of Bible verses and things like "Keeping the faith.God is with you." -_-
People like to share good messages ... often little different from my neighbors wife who sends photos of chipmonks in the woods.

Sharing is good

Getting an extra blessing at times, can not be all bad

If she is a sincere Christian, she may feel compelled by her faith to do this.
Maybe sit down with her, and reason with her.

@suzie1960 True. Depending on the person, I would handle it in a number of ways.

@chrisCA I'll think about it.I have done a good job so far with ignoring the text for a long time but I am just amazed as to how she hasn't come to realize that she hasn't gotten a response from me after these text...That should be a clear message that I may not be interested but some people I guess aren't that observant.

start texting her male escort services descriptions

If she asks why just reply that you are responding in kind and sending her something you think she needs☺

@EuphoricTurtle Reading that actually made me laugh.

Block the number.
Nobody in their right mind would do that thinking it a good idea.
I agree with you. That's very odd, out of nowhere, and you didn't even ask for them.
Her heart is in the right place. Maybe tell her politely...thank you, but the messages are taking up a lot of space in your inbox? Maybe ask her for one a week instead?

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 Her heart is in the right place you got that right :D
I will just continue to ignore the text and while I do so I will practice on what I want to say to her making sure it doesn't come off as offensive.

As you said, she means well. The best approach is just be straight and honest with her. I know you're a kind person after reading your post so I'm sure you'll be okay.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
Ask her nicely to stop. Tell her you would rather chat if that is true.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
You should tell her that you only use your texts for communication not for reading things like verses asking her to stop. If she does not then just change the ring tone for texts from her to silence and ignore her text if you don't want to block her.
OpalFlower · 31-35, F
@Subsumedpat Thanks eventually I'll find something to say to her when I've hade enough.
