I Have Been Stalked

I never would have thought that I would have had someone obsessed with me, but I did.

It all started back in March of 2003 after I had moved back home after having been away for a year and a half. I contacted my ex girlfriend, who lived in town, several days after I got back. We hung out for several hours. For the next week, I tried to communicate with her, but whenever I got her on the phone, she said she would call me back, and never did. Finally, in frustration, I turned the tables on her. I did not return her phone calls, I put blocks on her internet screen name so she couldn't contact me, and I deleted her e-mails without reading them. It should be noted that she did the same thing when we had been together. I would call, and she would say that she would call me back, but wouldn't.

The obsession began shortly after. My ex created a second screen name to contact with me with. I would put a block on that one. Then, I got contacted by someone claiming to be my ex's cousin, but of course it was my ex, yet again. I knew it was my ex, because the spelling and grammar were the same. After saying that I had nothing to say and that I wanted to be left alone, I put a block on this, my ex's third screen name. A short time went by before I was yet again contacted, this time by what I believed to be my ex's sisters screen name. At first she tried to pretend that she was her sister, but in this and all other previous times that she attempted to contact me, I knew it was her all along. This marked her fourth attempt and fourth different name that she used to try to get in touch with me. At my wits end, I sent her an e-mail stating that I no longer wished to be friends with her, nor did I want to be in contact with her in any way, shape, or form. I told her that I was tired of her games, and that our friendship had always been rocky, and that I could not be in a friendship like that.

For about three weeks there was no contact. I thought my e-mail had worked. I was wrong. One day I walking home and my ex drove by, wanting to know if I wanted a ride home. I declined. The next day she had sent me an e-mail wanting to know if we could talk. She said that she was trying to be nice in offering me a ride. I sent her a second e-mail, again telling her that I did not want to be in contact with her. I told her that she needed to get a life and that she needed to stop contacting me. She followed up my e-mail with two more; two e-mails full of lies and things that just weren't true. Again, at my wits end, I sent an e-mail back saying that no contact meant absolutely no contact. I told her that if she contacted me in any way again, I would send notification to AOL that she was harassing me. I would also tell her in no uncertain terms that she was a has been and a never was, a waste of space, the fact that she was never even a girlfriend to me, and that she did not exist to me anymore.

Again, I thought I was home free. Again, I was wrong. Someone who had a profile claiming her name was Sara would contact me, but right from the get-go, I knew it was ex yet again. I would send an e-mail to her explaining what it is I look for in a woman, since she asked. She would reply by saying that I scared her by how much I changed. When she asked who changed me, I said no one, and that I had changed myself. This marked the fifth time that my ex had communicated with me through other avenues. Everyone I talked to agreed that she was obsessed with me, and that for some strange reason, she had to be in contact with me in some way, shape, or form. I moved to another state in July of 2003, and had no contact with her, until she mysteriously texted me several months ago. I believe she got my number from my parents, whom I am currently not speaking with. The text was ignored, and I have heard nothing since.

Wow, it was a long read. So, what are you going to do if she keeps on contacting and stalking you?
SW-User
Just ignore her. I haven't heard anything since I ignored her text from several months ago.
