Providence is a lovely city - there's a hotel there called the Biltmore which is like it was trapped in the 30s - terrific place.
Westerley is nice as is the shore line with Newport too. Just over the border in CT is Foxwoods - it was the largest casino in the world, not sure it still holds that title though.
